Offering Ownership in a Startup through Equity Compensation
February 22 @ 11:45 am - 1:00 pmFree
Startups scaling their businesses need to attract top talent. Equity compensation, or non-cash payment structures, can be used to supplement employee salaries or to provide additional incentives to work for a growing company.
Join NextCorps and Circle Optics as they welcome Dave Veniskey, Partner at EFPR Group, in covering the basics of equity compensation and how these models provide employee ownership in a company.
This session is for (1) founders who are considering equity compensation, and (2) existing or potential employees of startups who want to learn more about how these perks work. Attendees will learn:
- The fundamentals for planning equity compensation, including its benefits and risks, and how these models are structured
- The difference between restricted stock and options, and how to assess what works best for your company
- The difference between incentive and non-qualified stock options, why companies use each, and how these options work
Registration closes Tuesday, February 21 at 5:00 PM.
This is an in-person event only, and pizza will be served. Seats are limited.
