Why Upstate NY is a great place to start your business

Get the latest on Upstate NY’s entrepreneurial ecosystem, including opportunities that might be right for your startup.

If you’re starting a business in Upstate NY, you’re in a good place. Hear from the leaders at four regional innovation hot spots about the programs, investments, incubators, and startup activities that are helping founders grow their businesses — from Buffalo to Rochester, all the way to Syracuse and the Southern Tier.

This session is moderated by Noa Conger Simmons, CEO & President of Upstate Capital Association of New York, and features:

  • Rick Gardner, Associate Vice President for Economic Development, University at Buffalo (Western NY Region)
  • Jim Senall, President, NextCorps (Finger Lakes Region)
  • Jeff Fuchsberg, Vice President of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, CenterState CEO (Central Region)
  • Brad Treat, Entrepreneur in Residence at Southern Tier Startup Alliance and instructor at Cornell University and Ithaca College (Southern Tier Region)

This is a virtual workshop. Zoom details will be shared via email with all registrants prior to the event.
