MicroGen

MicroGen powers the internet of things from vibrations found in our everyday lives. Their micro-power sources extend the abilities of wireless sensors by collecting energy released from the vibrations already present in technologies.  This energy can be used in numerous applications from powering wireless sensors in crevasses of planes, trains and automobiles to harsh environments that batteries cannot sustain.  Currently they service the heavy construction, tire, oil and gas, and wireless sensor industries.

MicroGen has been a NextCorps resident since 2010 when they won the Rochester Venture Challenge that year.
